Giants Spoil Jerry’s Party
Well, I guess it’s time to get back into the blog. I seem to spread myself out too thin sometimes.
At any rate, the Giants were invited down to Dallas last night to help them celebrate the launch of the new stadium. As impressive of a site as it may be, it’s definitely indicative of Jerry Jones — go big, but fall short. And so, despite allowing 220+ yards on the ground, the Giants’ defense did enough and stole enough passes from Romo to allow Eli and his your receiving corp time to get acquainted.
Both Steve Smith and Mario Manningham looked sharp in their routes and showed great poise in the face of a raucous crowd and prime time slot. If only the g-men could do something in the red zone other than field goals. Elie showed great calmness and restraint in the game winning drive.
