Giants and ‘Skins Open 2008 Season
Evan Pinkus/Getty ImagesIt looks like the rivalry gets started up early for the 2008 season as the Giants will host the Washington Redskins at the Meadowlands on opening day, Thursday, September 4. I’m already itching for the start of the season. I’m certainly not done celebrating the Super Bowl victory by any means, but I’m not sure I can handle another weekend without some football.
There’s a good chance though that the game could start earlier than the scheduled prime time slot due to the timing of the Republican National Convention. The game coincides with the last day of the convention and the NFL may bump the kick-off up an hour or so to accommodate any closing speeches that will be made at the convention.
